A good hotel room, or what?

Arranging a hotel room on a competitive market is a task for conscious and open-minded people. On the one hand, the appearance of the interior is important, where the design of the room plays a key role, and on the other hand, the opinions of users, coming directly from experience, are one of the key criteria determining the final purchase of a given offer.

Our many years of experience and work with clients show two important issues that should be taken into account.

DESIGN FIRST

Good interior design is a very broad concept, the architect must demonstrate a great understanding of the business, current trends and professional design knowledge. The interior of a hotel room should meet the needs of the guest – user and at the same time meet the requirements from the point of view of business profitability. The project should combine the needs of both parties in a harmonious way. Each such investment is different and requires separate analysis. It is worth asking yourself questions such as: what is my target group, what are their needs, how will the room be used, what standard do I want to offer, how will my offer stand out?

The answers to these basic issues will allow to determine what needs the project is supposed to meet, and in this way you can create a competitive advantage. Each decision will be considered and supported by analysis, it will slowly avoid mistakes and expose yourself to additional costs of introducing changes to an already operating facility.

Hotels of well-known chain brands have developed standards and brand books describing the entire business from the general concept to such a detail as where in the room there will be a place for an iron. Individual investors often do not realize how seemingly small decisions can affect an already operating business.

COSTUMER EXPERIENCE

The experience of a hotel guest includes such aspects as: room size, arrangement of functional zones, sleeping, rest, work zone, and entrance zone. Their arrangement and arrangement in the room plan must allow for free movement. It is worth spending time analyzing the space needed for individual activities, they may be different for each project, e.g. a holiday hotel does not need a large desk for work, a rest area with comfortable armchairs will be more important.

Apart from the functional aspects, of course, the appearance of the room itself attracts the customer’s eye. The appropriate selection of materials from which the furniture will be made and the colors of the walls and floors can create a unique atmosphere of the interior.

It is worth betting on universal materials that are not the result of short-term fashion, thanks to which our interior design will still be up-to-date even in the next 5 years. Good quality materials such as stain-resistant fabrics or scratch-resistant laminated boards with a natural wood structure or veneered furniture play a key role in building the standard of the interior.

A good hotel room is thought out and well designed – the focus is on the client and his needs. It is worth creating a timeless design, but at the same time looking for elements of surprise in the interior that the customer will be able to remember and tell about their positive experiences after returning home.
